Assessment of comments on Script Review Report and personal advice
Weaker students who have previously been unsuccessful in a paper are encouraged to obtain a Script Review Report from the HKICPA and discuss the report with the lecturers. If you’re unsure whether you should get a Script Review Report, talk to a Core lecturer on 25 Feb at our Free Seminar.
Marking of assignments with personal feedback
All Core lecturers set assignments for students to practice at home. The assignments are then marked and returned with personal feedback either on paper, via a one-to-one phone call or face-to-face discussion with the lecturers.
Marking of mock papers with personal feedback
All mock and additional mock answer scripts are marked and returned with personal feedback either on paper, via a one-to-one phone call or face-to-face discussion with lecturers.
Multi-channel Q&A support
Core lecturers are always happy to take questions during breaks, after class and on email. For more difficult questions, Core lecturers call students on the phone to for more detailed discussions. Q&A support are now also available in our Zoom Study Groups.

Core Concepts Course – 12 Sessions (36 hours)
The NEW Core QP M11 Concepts Notes will be based on the New QP Learning Pack and updated to focus on the New QP examination style and change in syllabus. The new notes will also include updates in financial reporting standards most relevant for the Jun 2021 diet.
Core Practice Course – 12 Sessions (36 hours)
The QP past papers will be appropriately adapted to reflect the New QP M11 examination style using new questions written by Phei based on the M11 Pilot Paper. Phei will also go through selected past papers from other examinations that have a similar examination style with the New QP for additional practice.
M11 New QP Focus – 1 Session (3 hours)
Phei will go through the New QP M11 Pilot Paper and remind students on key new examination techniques critical to passing the M11 paper in Jun 2021.

The new notes will also include updates in auditing standards most relevant for the Jun 2021 diet. Students should note that there are significant updates in the auditing standards this diet.
Core Practice Course – 11 Sessions (33 hours)
The QP past papers will be appropriately adapted to reflect the New QP M13 examination style using new questions written by Phei based on the M13 Pilot Paper. Phei will also go through selected past papers from other examinations that have a similar examination style with the New QP for additional practice.

Master the exam skills on Risk, Internal Controls and Audit Procedures questions, which take up a significant part of the New QP M13 paper. Learn to analyse the issues in the case facts and produce answers specific to the case, without copying! New materials and Q&As will be provided – these materials will be different from the Core Concepts and Core Practice materials. (Videos and materials are the same as the CL3 course)

Core Concepts Course – 12 Sessions (36 hours)
The NEW Core QP M14 Concepts Notes are updated to include new tax regulations such as deduction of foreign taxes for profits tax purposes under DIPN 28 (Revised), new concessionary deductions for salaries tax, transfer pricing updates under DIPN 58 and DIPN 59, attribution of profits to permanent establishments in Hong Kong under DIPN 60, enhanced deduction for R&D expenditure and DIPN 55, revised PRC Individual Income Tax and other PRC tax updates etc. Poon Sir will also provide supplementary notes to include new examples from the New QP M11 Learning Pack.
